It is without question the most reliable and cost effective device on the market today for Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI) and Vehicle Access Control. Incorporating the most advanced laser technology, along with the “elegantly simplistic” design concepts pioneered by Barcode Automation, the BA-220 will set the standards for the industry in the years to come.

An ideal access control reader for gated communities, the BA-220 DualBeam Barcode Reader is also the system of choice for airports, employee parking lots, state parks, toll bridges, parking garages, hospitals, rental car lots, government installations - anywhere Vehicle Identification or Access Control is needed.

The Sun is no longer an issue. With it’s advanced laser technology, the BA-220 DualBeam Barcode Reader is never blinded by the sun. A key feature of the BA-220 is the ability to act as a simple "stand alone" access controller. With an optional relay (BA-220-OPT-G), the reader will control the gate directly. As a vehicle passes by, the decal is read and checked against the internal database. If the decal is valid, the relay is activated, opening the gate. If it has been disabled, the gate is not opened, and the decal is logged as denied. The database in the BA-220 will handle 100,000 unique decals, which can be individually configured to grant or deny access. The transactions are logged with the time/date and event (Entered or Denied).
